Can do anything

Judy put off getting a hip replacement because she was the primary caregiver to her mother. Judy’s mother didn’t like elevators and lived in a walk-up apartment. “It got to the point where I could barely walk up three flights of stairs!” Judy says she was walking like a duck because her balance was off due to her bad hip. She had also experienced a couple of bad falls. Dr. Peter Southcott at Bluewater Health in Sarnia replaced Judy’s hip in January 2003. Now she’s back to walking – everywhere! As well, she exercises three times a week and even gets in a little golf in the summer.
